The new place
Do I need this new place? It's just another place for a blog yet it feels different. Simpler. Easier. Fewer barriers.
That is the question after all, do I really want another space to place words to save and view later in a website. Do I need it? Is it easier? The writing process will remain the same after all.
Write somewhere else, edit, tweak, copy, paste here and publish.
But the output matters and I've long since wanted a clean looking multi-format blog that is easy for me and my basic HTML/CSS skills to maintain. Wordpress has gotten way beyond that and, if I'm honest, I miss tinkering.
So this will be the new place, 'bear' with me whilst I sort it out but the plan is to have it be the central starting point for all my long(er) blog posts, shorter notes and thoughts (via micro.blog), and I'll be reintroducing a links page too. If I can do something clever with photos I will but likely I'll continue to link out to Instagram for my sporadic flights of photographic fancy.
